I am hoping to get feedback about a travel idea for adventurous seniors.

Many older people, especially women, would like to travel locally and abroad but do not because of cost and safety concerns.

My plan is to acquire a minibus and caravan, which will be converted and equipped to accommodate myself and eight others for camping trips around Southern Africa.   (Very similar to Rotel Tours, see their website rotel.dc.)

I do not want to sell these tours, but rather have the group traveling together, do the planning and share the costs.

Port Elizabeth, SA and Beyond!

An interesting day was spent in Port Elizabeth, aka Nelson Mandela Bay... But that was the easy part.. Arriving there proved to be a bit of a challenge - in the quest to discover how fuel efficient we are.. 'someone' by the time we reached Port Elizabeth, kept insisting that the fuel gauge was ok, even though it was reading below the red line.. "dude, did you hear that?", "hear what?", "there it is again!", "what?... by the way why are we stopping here in the middle of the highway?!!"

Well, anyway it worked out well and we only had to push the car 200 metres as we discovered that the petrol station was luckily only around the corner! Oh yeah, and just in case you were wondering.. the car gives us just over 700k's for a tank!

Seat bells…connections, air bus, transfer, hostess, videos, movie, hall, pilots, air condition, hot, cold, very cold…very hot, languages,  luggage, waiting, running, waiting again, left, right, strait away, terminals 1-2-3-4-5-…, gates 201909, transfers, numbers, seats, boarding card, boarding time, coffee, snacks, duty free, duty shops, I.D., security, laptop out… laptop in, shoes…belts…coins..off…

This week I was “on the road” for one of my best business travel ever.

I was one of the participants of the NMC, the first World Youth Meeting organized on 19-20-21 January in Bari, Italy. Even though I live in Italy since more than 10 years, I was there as a delegate of Turkey, which is the country where I was born.
