Gulet and Charter Cruises Holiday with Silver Star

A Gulet Charter Cruise Holiday is a holiday of a lifetime. The “Silver Start” welcome you on board a Turkish caique – a sailing boat with traditional marine characteristics – which guarantees safe, comfortable sailing in all kinds of weather and sea conditions.

The Silver star gullet is a robust vessel built in 2006, using the most up-to-date building techniques and the finest materials to let you enjoy an unforgettable gulet cruise. You can see two worlds melting inside: the innate classical style of the Turkish gulets and, on the other hand, the modernity of the most advanced technological systems. Security on board this gulet charter is guaranteed by the high-standard equipment and the experience and training of our crew.

Life aboard a traditional Turkish gulet

Being a private charter, our main commitment is focused on preparation and presentation of food. Typical products, such as pasta di Gragnano, Cilento olive oli, Cetara tuna, are carefully selected and turned into  sophisticated dishes by the chef flair, while the shipowner  passion provided the onboard cellar with some of finest wine labels. Besides, a wide selection of liquors and spirits will make your after meal and relax moments more pleasant during your blue cruise..

On most itineraries gulets cruise for an average of three hours a day, generally by motor to keep to schedule, under glorious sail when weather and time permits. There are plenty of opportunities for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking as your gulet journeys along the Italian coast.

That is what you have to expect in our gullet holidays!

We have a wide range of charter cruise itineraries in Italy and along the Mediterranean coast, from the Amalfi Coast to the Aeolian Islands. Some of the place we usually visit:

Tuscany Archipelago Cruise:

According to the legend, Venus necklace split apart and the pearls fell in the Tyrrhenian Sea, giving rise to the spectacular islands of the Tuscany Archipelago, today a National Park. The Park includes seven islands, unique for their climate, flora, fauna and history: Elba, Giglio, Capraia, Montecristo, Pianosa, Giannutri and Gorgona. We will visit them all on our yacht charter. The Park area is populated by species rare elsewhere and is included in the marine mammals protection Sanctuary. The islands are defined by different natural environments: Capraia is volcanic, Gorgona is made of metamorphic rocks, Pianosa of sedimentary rocks, Giannutri of calcareous and dolomitic sediments, Montecristo is granitic, like the majority of Giglio island, while Elba is the most various and includes the iron mineral areas. All together they form an ecologic passageway between Italian mainland and the island system of Sardinia and Corsica, becoming a stopover for migrants and a haven for some botanic elements.

If you choose our gulet cruises, any of the above could be within your reach.

Some of the islands are real natural sanctuary, due to the penal colonies presence during the past, which kept off  any kind of speculation. This is the case of Montecristo, a mount full of crags, home of the Montecristo goat and the rare Sardinian discoglossus, a frog.

The islands are blessed with a Mediterranean climate mitigated by the sea. They experience warm, dry and windy summers and it is common, in this period, to find north wind, northwest wind and east wind. Any weather condition is just a pleasant variation during our gullet cruises.

Egadi islands:

The Egadi islands archipelago includes three main islands (Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo) and two big rocks (Maraone and Formica) coming out from Tyrrhenian waters. Favignana is the biggest and is located 13 km offshore Trapani, while Marsala is 13. Any of them is easily accessible onboard our yacht charter

Favignana, whose name originated from the Favonio wind, resembles a big butterfly laying on the Mediterranean Sea, whose waters hide the secrets of ancient battles, such as the terrible Battaglia delle Egadi, fought between Romans and Carthaginians; these same waters are impregnated with the people yells during the ‘mattanze’, an ancient tuna catch acquired from the Arabs.

The island is a famous tourist destination, thanks to its small and secluded beaches, its rocks, its beautiful bays and the pristine water; Favignana is a place where the old sea traditions can coexist with the new ones. You have the chance to experience this during one of our gullet cruises.

Other possible destination:

Sardinia: we offer charter cruises in the rest of the Mediterranean Sea, Emerald Coast, Maddalena Archipelago, Caprera, Cala Gonone, Blue Marino cave, Villasimius, Cagliari.

During the gulet cruise aboard our private charter, you can also visit: the Aeolian islands and Pontine Archipelago.
