Day 1

Arrival to Sana’a in the evening. Overnight in Arabia Felix hotel (B/B).

Day 2

Full day for Sana’a sightseeing with a guide (no car included): visit National museum and in the afternoon visit the old part of Sana’a: old town, old market, samsaras, Bab al Yemen. Overnight in Arabia Felix hotel (H/B).

Day 3

Take a flight to Soqotra Island at 06.00 am. Arrive to Soqotra at 08.25 am. Meet your driver in Soqotra Island and drive to Dihamry protected area. Do swimming and snorkelling. Later visit Erher (the place where the dune is touching the sea and have a sweet water stream) and Ras Ersel. Return to Dihamry protected area and overnight camping there (F/B).

Day 4

Drive to Wadi Al Shiifa and climb up (if you want) to Homhil protected area. Enjoy this beautiful land of frankincense, dragoon’s blood trees, bottle trees and other rare plants. Maybe swim in the pools on the top. Continue via interesting valley Wadi Defarho to the southern coast. Visit the sand dunes of Heyf and Zahek. Overnight camping in Amak Beach in southern coast (F/B).

Day 5

After the morning swim, visit the old Degub cavern. Drive up to Dixam plateau, the land of dragoon’s blood trees. Walk down or drive to Wadi Dirhur. Swim in the pools in the Wadi. Depart to Qalansiya. Overnight camping in Detwah lagoon (F/B).

Day 6

In the early morning take an excursion by boat from Qalansiya to Schuab (maybe dolphins on the way) and swim on the remote beach. Return to Qalanisya, have a view over the nice beach and explore Detwah lagoon, or swim, or climb a mountain. Return to Hadiboo. On the way visit Ghuba village and salt flats. Visit tree nursery near Hadiboo. Overnight in Adib camp near Hadiboo (F/B).

Day 7

Drive to the airport in Hadiboo around 7.20 am and take a flight back to Sana’a at 09.55 am. Arrive to Sana’a at 12.20 pm. Drive directly to Wadi Dhar and visit the Imam’s palace Dar al Hajar. Continue to Manakah region. Overnight in local pension in Manakah and enjoy the presentation of Yemeni dances and music (H/B).

Day 8

In the morning visit Al Hajjarah village near Manakah. Make a light trekking from Ghorein to Jumaa - Husn al Haimi. Take a traditional lunch in Manakah. Visit also Al Khoteib village, the center of Yemeni Ismailia. Drive back to Sana’a and on the way visit the new, Saleh mosque. Overnight in Arabia Felix (B/B).

Day 9

Transfer to the airport

Please note: 

Currently the situation in Yemen is still unstable, so the visa processes are still stopped. In September 2011 they will open the visas for the visitors again if the situation will allow (we strongly hope so). Then the tours will be possible again.
