I am hoping to get feedback about a travel idea for adventurous seniors. Many older people, especially women, would like to travel locally and abroad but do not because of cost and safety concerns. My plan is to acquire a minibus and caravan, which will be converted and equipped to accommodate myself and eight others for camping trips around Southern Africa.   (Very similar to Rotel Tours, see their website rotel.dc.) I do not want to sell these tours, but rather have the group traveling together, do the planning and share the costs. The cost would be the minivan/caravan at roughly R7 per kilometer together with the campsites and food costs.   A trip from the East Cape to either Cape Town or the Kruger Park for a period of ten days would cost each person approximately R3.000 depending on food and drink tastes and appetites. Please let me know what you think and if you would be interested in this kind of travel.
