Of paramount important to Teamworkz is to make sure that these destinations we live and operate in benefit from tourism as well. From what we do to how we do it, the principles of ecotourism and responsible tourism are embedded in our operations.

Teamworkz are recognized and trusted as the local travel experts by a number of international organisations. These include whl.travel, Tripbod and Green Path Transfers and it is through this network of like-minded organisations that Teamworkz delivers our select range of products to the world. From hotel bookings to customized tour itineraries, carbon-neutral airport transfers to graphic design and social media marketing. Our background in sustainable tourism means Teamworkz are also able to offer consultancy services to a range of public and private sector partners.

Teamworkz do not operate our own tours – but by working with the best suppliers in each of the destinations we work, we use our local expertise and connections to create the holiday you are looking for.

Ecotourism Policy and Practices:

At Teamworkz, we believe that responsible tourism is founded on the concept of making better places for people to live, and better places for people to visit. Through both our travel and consulting work, Teamworkz seeks to improve the well-being of the destinations we live in and serve - not just so tourists have better holidays, but so that local residents benefit from tourism.

We believe that through leading by example, helping to keep our guests informed of local cultures and customs, and influencing the behaviour of our travel suppliers, we can help tourism in Laos, Thailand and Cambodia become more responsible and lead to a better quality of life for local residents, a better and more enjoyable holiday experience for our guests, and contribute to the well-being of the destinations in which we live and work.

One of our goals at Teamworkz, is to try and make sure that the destinations in which we work benefit from us working here. We are making attempts to minimize our carbon footprint, and that which we cannot, we offset locally. We estimate the carbon footprint of both our operations and the products we sell and offset these. We use a combination of Sustainable Travel International and ClimateCare to estimate the value of our carbon footprint, and then in partnership with Sunlabob use these funds to target low income families who have to rely on petrol or kerosene lanterns for light with no access to electricity in remote, rural areas. With support from Teamworkz, Sunlabob have installed battery-charging stations which supply villagers with solar-powered lanterns that can also be used to run electrical appliances as well.
