About Me:

PhD student of tourism research and development studies at the University of Lapland in Finland. I am especially interested about the possibilities and challenges of tourism development to contribute to poverty reduction in rural areas. I see that it is essential to move focus from tourists' needs towards the wellbeing of those being visited! I have earlier written my thesis about community-based tourism development on the 'Fair Trade Coffee Trail' in Nicaragua. Today I am a Fairtrade Ambassador in my new hometown - Stockholm..
