LPTM Tour
We are an educational tour operator located in Makassar, Indonesia. We offer a variety of voluntourism and Eco tour programs. We have different kinds of volunteering activities, and volunteers have free access to Eco tours (as described below) and social engagements such as traditional wedding functions and family or neighbourhood gatherings. The volunteer activities are: volunteering in foreign language training; volunteering in the reforestation of the indigeneous Bitti tree; volunteering in mechanical workshop; volunteering in solar cell knowledge; and volunteering in web/IT development. Our Eco Tour programs offers tours in selected sites around the city of Makassar at the South Sulawesi Province of Indonesia, which are: snorkeling and swimming in Bira White Sand Beach; hiking and trekking in Malino Tropical Rain Forest; hiking and trekking in Toraja Mystical Hills; cultural tour in Makassar City; hiking and trekking in Bantimurung Waterfall and Caves; and snorkeling and diving in Khayangan Island. For more information about our voluntourism programs please visit our website at www.volunteer.lptmtour.com. For more information about our Eco tour programs please visit our website at www.ecotour.lptmtour.com. For further enquiries and application please Email us: lptm.mks@gmail.com.
Our voluntourism and Eco tour programs are community based, and participants in our voluntourism and Eco tour programs will live in community based clean lodging such as host family, homestay, guest houses, or eco-lodges. They will consume local people's food and interact with local people to enable the promotion of mutual understanding between cultures and create long lasting friendships. In our Ecotour programs, participants will be asked to either distribute tree seedlings for local people to plant, or to distribute masks and gloves to city scavenger in the city. They will also be asked to observe the site for environmental damages due to touristic activities, suggest conservation activities that can be done at the site, and possible activities to benefit local people at the island. They will inform us about their observation and suggestion in a questionnaire given to them at the end of the tour. We also have a reforestation project to conserve Bitti tree, an indigenous tree and material for the wooden Boat Phinisi. Each voluntourism and Eco tour participants will be included in a one day tree planting excursion in our reforestation program to increase their environmental awareness, and to motivate local people to do conservation.
